The reviews I read were en pointe about Potter’s Place. 1. The barista/owner Khaled sure knew his beans and coffee preps. The cappucino serves in a ceramic cup (made by his sister) was lovely. 2. I love the relaxing atmosphere, minimalist but not cookie cutter style with design books to browse. (Khaled has an bachelor and master’s in Industrial Design). 3. I was lucky to wait for a literally fresh out of the oven choco chip cookie. Homemade buttery delicious. 4. I made a new Penang friend in Khaled, with insightful conversations from coffee to life passions.

Nice and calming cafe in the middle of Georgetown! We ordered lemonade and iced Americano and they were freshly made by the owner. Very refreshing drinks with the hot weather. Also had a nice chocolate chip cookie. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a chill place to have a coffee

this cafe deserves more love from people! the atmosphere, light food, and drinks were great!!! the staffs were friendly and warm, and the prices are a plus point as id say it's quite reasonable and you get what u pay for, and their foods are homemade. do try their kaya toast!!!! u wont regret it! that was my personal favourite, but everything else was tasty as well.

A small and cozy coffee place that deserves some attention. A good selection of nice drinks, both hot and cold and a few small bites like cookies or Kaya toast. Friendly barista that takes the time to prepare your drinks. Everything is well priced for being in a touristy area.

First off the owner (Khaled) is a really friendly person and makes great conversation. The decor is well done and the furniture is personally made by him. Price wise it is affordable with a cinnamon toast and an iced tea for about 10rm. I have to say it's probably my favourite spot I've visited in Malaysia and it's a great place to hangout or catch up with an old friend. There is a selection of books curated by the owner which include several books on art (such as local batik). Overall it is a must-visit for cafe enjoyers especially those who are into the arts.
